President's Letter

Welcome to the 2011-2012 snowmobile season! We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful summer. Fall is in the air with winter fast approaching. State fairs and the Freemont Grass Drags are done; now it's time to get out your machine, tune up those carburetors, grease up those bearings and start marking your calendars for all our events! We always appreciate volunteers. Whether you are handy with mechanics helping fine tuning our groomers, working a chainsaw doing trail work or helping with cookouts and events please reach out to us.

If you're interested in joining our club, please send in your membership as early as possible. The sooner we have memberships the better. Our web-site is up and running with new applications on there. We will get new member cards out A.S.A.P.! Don't forget you can always join the club & register your sled(s) in person at R.G.A Tire, Nault's in Windham or B&H Oil in Salem NH.

Like all years we have lots of trail clean-up to do in town. We have 33+ miles corridor trails with countless amounts of loops. Hurricane Irene had a party in the trails this summer. In October, November & December we will have trail maintenance parties. We ALWAYS appreciate the extra hands. I have been told the trails have been devastated with blow downs (Irene) so if you live near the trail system, please walk the trail, remove brush/small trees and contact us if major work needs to be done. We have updated many ways to contact us:

Remember these are YOUR club trails. I can't thank our hard working members enough for the 400 man hours; last year alone! With a strong effort we are shooting to re-route the steep hill heading towards Gumpus Pond over by Sherburne Road. Also, PRIMARY trail work parties will be building bridges between routes 38 to route 128 Veteran’s Park trail.

Due to the new generation and amount of children; we have decided to bring back the Border Riders Winter Season Kick off @ the Pelham American Legion on November 5th 2011. This is for the whole family with kiddie games, 50/50 raffle, FREE FOOD, face painting, cash bar, raffle table and live auction. Food offered will be roast beef, turkey, burgers and dogs. FREE, yes all FREE! We always welcome a favorite dish you can share with friends.

On behalf of the club officers, we would like to personally thank all who invested over the years with your time and effort. We hope to see you all at the different events. In closing I would like to wish you all a safe and healthy snow-filled winter with the happiest of holidays.

Thank you,

Bob Lamoureux
